Cowboys vs. Giants Thursday Night Football: Live updates, scores, highlights, how to watch Dallas vs. view New York

Vaseline 1 week ago

Cowboys vs. Giants have become a staple of the NFL’s early-season primetime landscape, and this year the longtime NFC East rivals will play their first game on Thursday Night Football to open Week 4. Both teams enter with 1-2 records, with their lone win coming over the Cleveland Browns.

Dallas enters the matchup with seven defensive fronts, allowing a league-worst 185.7 rushing yards per game and being rolled over the past two weeks by the Saints and Ravens. The Cowboys have allowed 464 rushing yards in the past two losses; only two other teams have given up that many rushing yards in three games.

The Giants will likely try to take advantage of that, even if they are middle of the pack in a rushing attack. Devin Singletary has been on pace with a pair of rushing touchdowns over the past two weeks and Daniel Jones ranks 21st among qualified quarterbacks in passer rating.

  • CeeDee Lamb ties Week 3 catch total

CeeDee Lamb already has four catches for 30 yards, matching the four receptions he had last week. He also has a 10-yard run where he lines up at running back.

Last week, Lamb had four catches for 67 yards and got into a feud with Dak Prescott because he was unhappy with the way he was being used.

Replay shows the referees misinterpreted the face mask penalty for Daniel Bellinger. Even worse, DeMarvion Overshown grabbed Bellinger’s facemask and missed.

  • Giants 3, Cowboys 0

A facemask penalty on Daniel Bellinger gave the Giants a 2nd-and-18 from the Dallas 48-yard line.

Daniel Jones completes two consecutive passes to Wan’Dale Robinson for a total of 14 yards, not enough for the first down.

Greg Joseph puts the Giants on the board first with a 52-yard field goal.

  • Daniel Jones vs. Malik Nabers

On 3rd and 4, Daniel Jones hits a wide open Malik Nabers for a 38-yard pass. Great reporting there by Andrew Booth of the Cowboys.

  • Cowboys 3-and-out to start

On first down, Rico Dowdle carries 6 yards for the Cowboys. But he is stopped for a loss of one yard on the next play. And on 3rd and 5, Dak Prescott throws an incomplete pass.

Giants take over on a 50-yard punt from Bryan Anger.

  • Dak Prescott, 12-2 against the Giants

The last time Dak Prescott lost to the Giants was December 11, 2016.

In 14 starts against New York, he is 12

  • Will Brandon Aubrey kick a 60-year-old tonight?

Brandon Aubrey hit a 65-yard field goal in Week 3. What will his longest kick be tonight?

    From Frank Schwab:

Even in a league with more excellent long-distance kickers than ever, Aubrey stands out. He hit a 66-yard field goal in the preseason in Las Vegas, and the tracker said it would have been good from 72 yards. In Week 1, he would attempt a 66-yard field goal, but a delay of game penalty followed. Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy considered trying a 71-yarder before he was talked out of it.
