BMI opened the doors to its Nashville location on Wednesday, September 25, to celebrate MCA Nashville hitmaker Parker McCollum’s fourth number one platinum-certified hit “Burn It Down.” The CMA “Song Of the Year” nominated song reunited McCollum with his fellow musicians. writers, The Love Junkies, including Liz Rose (BMI), 2024 Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame nominee, three-time GRAMMY award-winning songwriter Lori McKenna (BMI), and Hillary Lindsey (ASCAP), Songwriters Hall of Fame nominee 2024. McCollum is the first MCA Nashville artist to have every single released reach the top of the charts.

The event, hosted by BMI and ASCAP and hosted by BMI’s Mason Hunter, was sponsored by Studio Bank, where Ron Cox made a special donation presentation in support of Folds of Honor on behalf of McCollum and the songwriters. The organization awards scholarships to children and spouses of fallen men and women in the military and to first responders.

Hunter closed the evening by surprising McCollum with three BMI Million-Air Awards, certificates given to songwriters whose work has achieved the rare feat of surpassing one million airplays on American radio, for his back-to-back chart-topping “Handle On You” (2 million), “Pretty Heart” (2 million) and “To Be Loved By You” (2 million).
