KANPUR, India (AP) — Rohit Sharma won the toss to send Bangladesh into bat in the second cricket Test on Friday as India chased a series sweep.

India won the first Test in Chennai by 280 runs and took an unchanged line-up into the second match, opting not to recall left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav for his home Test.

The toss was postponed by an hour due to a wet outfield caused by overnight rain.

The conditions prompted a tactical change from Rohit, making it the first time in nine years that India have opted to bowl in a home Test. The last time was against South Africa in Bengaluru in 2015.

It was also only the second time a team chose to bowl first in 24 Tests at Green Park in Kanpur. The last time was in 1964, when India defeated England.

Bangladesh made two line-up changes, with medium-pace bowler Khaled Ahmed and left-arm spinner Taijul Islam replacing Taskin Ahmed and Nahid Rana.

The field for this test consists of black soil and is expected to wear out more slowly. It should provide grip and assistance to spinners as the match progresses.

Setups:

India: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Akash Deep, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj.

Bangladesh: Shadman Islam, Zakir Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto (captain), Mominul Haque, Mushfiqur Rahim, Shakib Al Hasan, Litton Das, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Taijul Islam, Hasan Mahmud, Khaled Ahmed.
