Kim Richards is put on psychiatric hold, has a confrontation with Kyle about sobriety

Kim Richards has been ostracized by her entire family… TMZ has learned — but it’s a case of tough love, because we’re told she fell off the wagon and was placed in a psychiatric prison earlier this month, but that hasn’t happened yet beyond the drama.

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ they showed up at a home Kyle owns the property in the LA area on Wednesday evening after a neighbor called them hoping to have Kim removed from the home. Apparently the neighbors were concerned about Kim’s past behavior.

We’re told Kyle had Kim live in the house, but she moved out a while ago… but on Wednesday Kim showed up again. Law enforcement officials say Kyle told them she didn’t want Kim in the house because the family had cut off all contact in hopes it would shock Kim and sober her up.

We’re told police explained to Kyle it was a civil matter and she would have to file eviction proceedings. Kim stays in the house.

It gets worse. Law enforcement officials tell TMZ in early September that Kim was at a Hilton Hotel in the LA area and was incoherent. Kyle was there, the police were called and when they arrived they asked Kim to leave but she refused. Law enforcement officials tell TMZ that Kim was placed in a psychiatric facility 5150 and taken to a hospital by ambulance.

Law enforcement sources say when they arrived Wednesday night, Kyle told them Kim is in big trouble because of her sobriety… and the family is concerned about her survival.

If you’re not aware… Kim and Kyle have a complicated relationship — they first came to public attention during the Season 1 finale of “RHOBH,” where the two got into an argument over Kim’s issues with alcohol.

Last year, Kim admitted that she hadn’t spoken to Kyle in months… even after that her divorce of an old husband Mauricio Umanski came to national attention.
