Commander QB Jayden Daniels weaves his way through Cardinals for a 9-yard TD run

GLENDALE, Ariz. – The Washington Commanders don’t always want quarterback Jayden Daniels to get into trouble. But they know his legs remain a weapon they can use to their advantage.

After a 47-yard pass interference penalty gave Washington the ball at the 9-yard line in the third quarter against the Arizona Cardinals, the Commanders took advantage of Daniels’ dual-threat ability to give them a 24–7 lead.

As center Tyler Biadasz and right tackle Andrew Wylie moved down the right sideline, Daniels followed his blockers and cut outside a defender to score his fourth rushing touchdown of the season with 13:52 remaining in the third quarter.

Daniels led Washington to touchdowns on its first two drives on Sunday before throwing his first interception of the season. However, after the Commanders’ first punt since the season opener, Daniels led two more scoring drives: a field goal to end the first half and his touchdown run on the opening drive of the second half.
