This sale was adapted by auto retailer Galpin Auto Sports for the 2023 SEMA Show edition and is titled by SEMA to the Tyler Robinson Foundation. This sale will benefit charity as the 501(c)(3) organization fights the devastating effects of childhood cancer.

While the Ford Bronco hasn’t quite lived up to the hype, it’s still one of the few body-on-frame SUVs offered in the U.S. auto market – alongside the Toyota 4Runner and Jeep Wrangler. Through the first six months of the year, the latter remained America’s favorite in off-roading SUV with just over 77,000 units, followed by the old Toyota 4Runner with almost 67,000 deliveries and the Ford Bronco in third place with just over 50,000 units.

Still, that’s not bad for a highly specialized vehicle. But how special can it be? Thanks to the heritage-inspired design, the customization options are virtually endless. Let us give you an example here. Last year we wrote about the collaboration between SEMA and Galpin Auto Sports that leveraged the Bronco’s popularity to create a one-off project that was featured at the 2023 edition of the legendary SEMA Show.

At the time, we also said that the custom SUV would ultimately be sold to the highest bidder in support of a charity loved by the Grammy-winning music group Imagine Dragons: the Tyler Robinson Foundation. Now it appears the deed has been done – and the Las Vegas-based American pop-rock band will also keep its promises and give the lucky auction winner a host of extra goodies, including a signed Hero Firefly guitar, designed in the style of the international symbol for childhood cancer plus some VIP tickets for a backstage tour during one of Imagine Dragons’ performances on the Loom concert world tour.

Now let’s get back to the Ford Bronco, shall we? This is a four-door 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands, purchased new and customized by Galpin Auto Sports of Van Nuys, California, for the 2023 SEMA Show. Although it’s not obvious – and instead you’d think it is rather a heritage-oriented structure – Imagine Dragons inspired the design in tribute to their support of the Tyler Robinson Foundation.

The latter is a 501(c)(3) organization focused on helping families – both financially and emotionally – weather the tragedies of a childhood cancer diagnosis. The Bronco has just 100 miles on the odometer, and Bring a Trail worked with SEMA to arrange the no-reserve sale of the Badlands, which has a clean Nevada title to TRF. In terms of technical specifications, the SUV has the 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 under the hood mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It also comes with electronic limited slip differentials, plus the Sasquatch and Lux packages.

The exterior, meanwhile, is dressed in Eruption Green Metallic and has plenty of gold accents – on the IAG grille, the removable roof panels and the 17-inch Fifteen52 aluminum wheels. There are numerous upgrades that also make it a real off-road guru or overlanding rig: Body Armor bumpers, Rigid and Oracle LED lights, a Warn winch, Wilwood front disc brakes, Camburg suspension components and Bilstein coilovers, Front Runner cargo accessories and much more. The piece of resistance could of course be the Recon Recovery Kexaa roof tent.

Inside you’ll also find the SYNC 4 infotainment system, a Terrain Management system with GOAT modes, Katzkin leather seat covers, and a Rockford Fosgate audio system. By the way, the Recon Recovery Kexaa Roof Top Tent has an access ladder and awning, plus there are also plenty of portable camping accessories like Wolf Pack Pro cargo boxes, a pair of Expander folding chairs, and a collapsible grill and fire pit. To top it all off, some Imagine Dragon Special Edition badging has also been added to the vehicle. Last but not least, the Fifteen52 aftermarket wheels are paired with gigantic 37-inch Toyo Open Country tires, there’s a fifth wheel and tire combo on the tailgate, and behind that, in the cargo area, there’s also a Dometic CFX3 12-volt refrigerator and freezer plus a Front Runner refrigerator slide, fold-down tailgate table and cargo drawers.

Oh, and let’s not forget the V6, which makes 330 hp and 415 lb-ft of torque from the factory, but was equipped during the build with a Roush air intake system and a Magnaflow Overland Series cat-back exhaust system to give a few more ponies, breaths better and sounds great on adventures with its happy new owner. Speaking of the latter, the winning bid was $108,000, with all proceeds going to the foundation, and we can say it was a steal considering the SUV plus all accessories and build hours were probably closer to 150,000! But of course the best news is that the Tyler Robinson Foundation now has additional funding to support its goals…
