The Kansas City Chiefs held on for their fourth straight win to start the season, but it didn’t come without a significant loss to their offense. Rashee Rice’s injury immediately appeared serious as he was ruled out shortly after leaving the field on Sunday.

Chiefs head coach Andy Reid spoke about Rice’s injury status after initial assessments with reporters via Zoom on Friday.

“As for Rashee’s injury, we’re still testing him here, so I don’t have any definitive information for you at this time, but we will get it to you,” Reid said. ‘Obviously he won’t be available this week. Let’s go take care of it we get all the tests necessary are finished, done, we’ll let you know on That.”

Rice was ranked among the best receivers in the league before the injury. He had 24 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns heading into Week 4.

Rumors are circulating that Rice may have suffered a torn ACL, but no official word released. The Chiefs are hoping for good news while additional testing is still taking place.
