Even the liberal writers of “Saturday Night Live” acknowledged that ABC News’ presidential debate was “biased” and took a swipe at the Disney network during the show’s season premiere.

NBC’s long-running sketch comedy show on Saturday kicked off with cast member Andrew Dismukes as host of “World News Tonight” and debate co-moderator David Muir out in the cold.

“I was hoping that the outcome of the debate I moderated would be my striking good looks, but unfortunately it came down to whether or not I was biased against the Democrats, which… duh,” Muir of Dismukes told viewers , causing the audience to laugh.

ABC News did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

‘SNL’ also appeared to downplay the first assassination attempt on former President Trump, with cast member James Austin Johnson mocking him at a rally.

“Where’s everyone going? Where are you going? I see you’re trying to leave, but the doors are locked. Come back, we’re having fun. We love my rallies, except when someone does the ‘bing, bong’ .” bing, bing, bing’ right at me,” Johnson said in Trump’s voice. “You know this happened because of the rhetoric of the radical left. They say it’s the pot calling the kettle black when I blame Democrats for inciting violence, but honestly, I didn’t know the kettle was black until recently. the cauldron was Indian, but then decided to go black.”

Additionally, during the “Weekend Update” segment, Colin Jost joked that he “began to worry about the bullet hitting a little more than just the ear” after playing a clip of Trump saying he had a better “body” than President Biden at a recent rally.

ABC News faced intense backlash for the highly partisan debate in which Muir and co-moderator Linsey Davis repeatedly fact-checked Trump and asked him far more pointed questions than Vice President Kamala Harris, who faced no hostility from the anchors .

Last Thursday, Trump renewed his attacks on Muir and his network during a press conference.

“And during the debate I mentioned that and David Muir, a real lightweight,” Trump said. “I was one against three, but I think we did a great job. But David Muir from ABC, fake news, when I said crime in our country is way up, he corrected me, he corrected me and so much and it was right what I said: He didn’t correct (Vice President Kamala Harris) one time, and what she said was wrong, absolutely wrong. So many different… Charlottesville, she was wrong, all those different things, almost everything she said , and she was never corrected.

“But he corrected me on the crime front. He said, ‘No, no, crime hasn’t gone up.’ I said crime has gone up tremendously. He said, ‘I just want to be clear that crime hasn’t gone up.'”

Trump further claimed that ABC News broke the “deal” they made prior to the debate.

“Now you don’t know this, but we had a deal with ABC that there wouldn’t be any correction, and they breached the deal. Why? Because they are bad people and fake news,” Trump said. said. “So he did it to me many times during the debate. He violated the deal. That’s the deal, because you can take anything and make up stories with it. We had a deal where that wouldn’t happen. You could do it. ” whatever you wanted once the debate was over, but he did it in total violation of our agreement. And many people standing there (as he looked at his staff) will tell you exactly what it was, show you what it was. David Muir has lost all credibility.”

The former president also took a swipe at Davis, who provided the debate’s first fact-check against him.

“I’ve never heard of her. I never want to hear from her. She was terrible. I don’t know how she ever got her job,” Trump said. “But we have a country to save, and that kind of fake news is unacceptable. And its ratings deserve to go down.”
