PlayStation Network services are down

Vaseline 2 weeks ago

It’s not just you: the PlayStation Network is currently experiencing issues, causing people to be kicked out of their matches and games to crash all over the world. Based on reports from Downdetector, the problem started this evening, September 30, shortly after 8:00 PM Eastern Time. Sony Interactive Entertainment has not yet released a statement on the issue, but it has updated the PlayStation Network status page to indicate that several of its services are unavailable.

Users cannot log in, create new accounts, or edit their account information on the PS5, PS4, PS Vita, and PS3. They also cannot perform account maintenance on the Internet. Likewise, they cannot stream games on the Internet or on a PlayStation console. They also can’t do window shopping: users can’t browse or search for games, redeem vouchers, make purchases, or download previously purchased titles.

“We are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible,” the company wrote in the status update. “Thank you for your patience.”
