After last week’s moving premiere Brilliant minds on NBC, audiences can’t wait to learn more about gifted neurologist Dr. Oliver Wolf (Zachary Quinto) and how he is able to diagnose the most difficult patients. No one knows anymore about Dr.’s talents. Wolf then Dr. Muriel Landon, chief physician at Bronx General Hospital (played by Broadway legend Donna Murphy). In a wild twist at the end of the show’s pilot, it was revealed that Dr. Landon the mother of Dr. Wolf was, which explains some of his hesitation in taking the job at the behest of his friend/colleague, Dr. Carol Pierce (Tamberla Perry). ).

Although their dynamic will be explored in future episodes, Dr. Wolf clearly has problems with the way his mother dealt with his deeply troubled but sweet father in the past. Dr. Wolf may not agree with his mother’s methods, but it’s clear she’s looking out for him in this exclusive clip from tonight’s all-new episode.

The scene starts with Dr. Landon playing Dr. Wolf briefly asks in her office. “Am I in trouble?” asks Dr. Wolf as he sits down. Tired, Dr. begins. Landon: “I just wanted to reiterate how happy I am to have you on the team. There is no one more dedicated to their patients than you, and everyone in New York knows that.” Stunned by her feelings, Dr. interrupts. Wolf hair. “I feel a but…”

Dr. Landon continues: “Where you get into trouble is with the establishment and your disregard for the rules.” Of course, Dr. Wolf defensive. No one likes to be called by their mother! “They only get in the way of what is best for my patients,” argues Dr. Wolf. “Yes, that’s right,” Dr. Landon says as she grabs a thick manual from her desk and drops it on her son’s lap. “This should help.”

“Please tell me you haven’t written a memoir,” Dr. replies. Wolf wryly. “It’s a manual that outlines the protocols for the hospital,” says Dr. Landon. “Sounds compelling,” Dr. Wolf says, rolling his eyes and standing to leave her office.

Before he gets to the door, Dr. Landon, one last motherly note. “There aren’t many hospitals left in this city that are willing to take a chance on you,” Dr. Landon says bluntly. “I could very well be your last chance.” Dr. Wolf takes in her words and looks at her. “Luckily,” he says as he turns to leave.
