Brad Marchand makes his debut with Vs. Kites

Vaseline 3 days ago

There will be a seasonal top-six feel for the Bruins on Tuesday night, including the debut of both the captain and a highly touted newcomer.

Boston announced its roster for Tuesday night’s game against Philadelphia (6 p.m. ET, NESN), and both Brad Marchand and Elias Lindholm will get their first taste of preseason action for the Black and Gold at TD Garden.

It’s an important move for Marchand, who underwent a pair of surgeries this offseason to address several nagging injuries. He recently returned to training and added a welcome spark to the practice sessions at the Warrior Ice Arena.

He will be joined by Lindholm, who will make his debut this summer after signing a long-term contract. He has been dealing with an undisclosed injury during camp and his family also welcomed a new child late last month.

Goalkeepers: Brandon Bussi, Michael DiPietro

A day after head coach Jim Montgomery revealed that Joonas Korpisalo will start in goal for the season opener with Jeremy Swayman’s contract situation unresolved, Brandon Bussi gets the nod as he lays out his case to break camp as a backup goaltender.
